Purpose built for memory care
Unlike most assisted living facilities, memory care is all we do. Every part of the building is planned around it, which makes daily life safer and less stressful for the people who live here.
Secure exterior doors and courtyard
Secured exterior doors mean residents can move around the building freely. The courtyard is enclosed too, so gardening, bird watching and a walk on the paths stay safe without anyone hovering.
Carefully planned living spaces
Everything in our living spaces is planned with safety in mind. Our units feature armoires instead of closets, so residents don’t get lost or confused looking for their things.
An individualized Life Service Plan
Memory loss isn’t what defines who our residents are. That’s why we sit down with you to go through your loved one’s needs, abilities and preferences: personal care, housekeeping, medication management, what they like to eat, what they like to do, and laundry. Our goals are to:
- Consistently deliver dignified care
- Increase the resident’s ability to perform activities of daily living
- Fit the plan to the individual resident
- Develop the plan with professional care providers and family members
Programs, activities and the Memory Book
Our goal isn’t only to care for your loved one. We want activities that encourage them to take part at their highest level of ability, which helps maintain cognitive function, increases socialization and builds self-esteem.
One way we do this is a Memory Book for each resident, filled with photos, news clippings and mementos. Visiting family, staff and the resident use it to spark memories and start conversations.
